With poker being a game of strategy it is important to make sure you don't give you're opponents any advantage into you're strategy and how you play you're cards.

If you don't win a hand and you haven't or don't have to show them because someone else has shown their hand and you know you have lost then you could "Muck" you're cards. This is where you don't let any other players see what cards you had by getting them back into the deck without anyone seeing their value.

If you have been bluffing then this will mean that the other players won't know that this is what you have been doing and may do again later!

The same applies to winning hands. If you are betting and the other players all fold and you take the pot then don't show you're hand in this situation either. If you were bluffing with a pair of 2's and the others see if then they might start to call you a bit more if they think that your up-to this!
