Online Poker Tells |

You may think that it is is harder playing online poker to spot when someone has a good hand or not as you can't see how they look from behind a computer screen in a completely different location! Well there are infact a few things to keep and eye on when playing poker online that can help you try to get a better idea as to what type of hand your opponent is holding and what type of player they are! Online casinos and poker rooms have the option of check boxes to let players select what their next move is going to be before it actually comes around to them. They can allow to "Fold", "Check any", "Call any", "Raise any" depending on what the player wants to do. You will have a good idea if they are using these boxes as their play comes in a split second after the player before them has had their go. If they "Check" then the chances are they have a weak hand, if they "Call Any" then the chances are are that they have an OK hand that they want to continue to play with to see if they can complete it to make it better, if however it is a "Raise Any" then the chances are that they have a decent hand and their cards are strong so make sure you think your cards are good enough or not... Along the same lines as the last one based on speed of play their can be other tells that can help you. If they aren't using the check boxes their speed of play can also still be an indicator to you. If they "Check" pretty quickly when it comes to their go then this could be indication that they don't have a strong hand, if however they take a bit longer then it could be indication that they are thinking through their strategy for what could be a good or big hand! Online and
face-to-face poker games you can see who plays most of the games and stays
in the pot on most hands and also who folds most hands. If a player stays
in most hands then they are likely to be a bit more inexperienced and
not know when to fold if their hand isn't that good, on the other hand
a player who folds more than they play could indicate a player who only
joins the pot on hands that they think are strong! Related articles: Poker strategy |
