Playing Tight poker game, poker strategy

If everyone played the same in Poker then no one is really going to win much, the pots will just get traded back and forth between players as they are following similar strategies and playing the same type of game, such as loose or tight.

If you are a tight player then you need to play at tables against loose players only so you can maximize your winnings. If you find yourself at a table with a few other tight players then you are going to find you have a harder time playing.

To find out if you are at a loose table or a tight table you should play a few hands, or sit and watch how the other players play for a while. If you find that most players are paying to see the flop every hand then you could well find yourself that you are at a loose table and you should get yourself some chips and start playing your tight game! If however you notice that lots of the players are folding every hand then it might be worth going to join another table that isn't full of tight players.
