Poker nightMore and more groups of people are playing and enjoying poker, and although online poker (you can also set up private poker games online) is great fun and an easy and quick way to play poker sometimes arranging a poker night with friends can be a nice change.
So, what do you need to do and get when setting up to host your own poker night?!

It's not hard to get a poker night of your own set up, all you need is a pack of cards and the players.
The optional parts to arranging your own poker night include:
- H
aving real poker chips to play with or just letting players play with real money
- Having a proper poker table that players can sit round or just use a large enough table to fit all the players round comfortably (you don't want players to feel too close to other players, they need that bit of space to relax and comfortably look at their cards)
- Having a dealer who doesn't take part in any of the games, alternatively each player can take their own turn in shuffling and dealing.

Other things to consider are drinks and snacks, if you are going to be playing for a few hours players may want something to eat or drink, now you can supply this yourself or ask players to bring along something themselves. If you are receiving any money for hosting the poker night then it might be that players expect you to supply these things but if it's just a group of friends and you aren't receiving anything then you could ask people to bring their own.
