Study the cards, poker strategy

It's a good idea when playing to look at all the cards on who to help you figure out what the best possible hand could be with the cards that are available for everyone to see.

Imagine that the community cards are

You are holding which would give you a straight.

Another player could have been dealt which would give them a flush and would beat your straight. They might not have been dealt this but it is well worth just figuring out what the possibilities are. Allot of people would look at the cards above and be thinking along the lines that maybe 2 pairs or 3 of a kind is the best they are likely to have when there is the chance of a flush!
