To help better understand how to make a hand and what is a winning hand in Texas Hold'em Poker there are some example hands below.

To make things a bit simpler we will only be comparing 2 players hands.

At the top will be displayed each players "Hole" cards that they will be dealt before the flop. Underneath are the community cards, which include the "Flop", "Turn" & "River". At the bottom will show the best hand that both players can make with the cards that are available to them and who is the winner

Example Texas Hold'em - 1
Mark's "Hole" cards
Rob's "Hole" cards
The community cards
Mark's Best hand
Rob's best hand
With the cards that were dealt above, Mark would be the winner with 2 pairs, Aces and 7's.
Rob would just have 1 pair of 6's

Example Texas Hold'em - 2
Mark's "Hole" cards
Rob's "Hole" cards
The community cards
Marks Best hand
Rob's best hand
Both players would have 2 pairs, Kings and 8's, although Mark would win the hand as his extra card (often referred to as a "Kicker") is of higher value than Rob's "Kicker".
